The Spitzpoo is a gorgeous pup that is the mix of a purebred Spitz and Poodle. Although it is a small dog, it could be hyper and have lots of energy. It is a great family dog and will make a loving, protective playmate for most children.

Although little is known about this mix, the Spitzpoo is a unique breed and is becoming a more common hybrid. There are generally two main types of Spitz - German and Japanese.

Japanese Spitz dogs are known for their pleasant temperament, and their ability to get along with other dogs and children. The German Spitz on the other hand requires moderate grooming, but is also affectionate, attentive, and exceptionally devoted. The Poodle is one of the most intelligent breeds in the world, and together, these beautiful breeds produce a smart, loyal and good-natured ball of fluff - the Spitzpoo.

Like all dogs, a Spitzpoo responds well to positive reinforcement. It can be independent, but it is also an affectionate dog that enjoys spending lots of time with you.

If exposed and socialized properly, it should get along well with other animals. It is a spirited dog so it’s important that it gets regular exercise. If you enjoy being a couch potato, this dog may not be the one for you.

As a designer dog breed, Spitzpoos are not recognized by the American Kennel Club (AKC) and can only be registered in kennel clubs that accept mixed-breed dogs.
